About Me

Hello!  I'm Allyson, but I go by Ally.  Being that most of you do not yet know me, I thought an effective way to tell you all a little about me would be to compile a list of facts.  So here are some random facts about myself:

1. I am a freshman at MSU.
2. I am majoring in Elementary Education, I love working with kids and I am already very passionate about this career choice.  This is obviously what my blog will be about.
3. I am from the Upper Peninsula.
4. Me gusta hablar en español. I am a spanish minor.
5. I'm a dog lover.  I have two at home.
6. I hate the cold.  After college I plan to move somewhere warm.
7. I can be very shy at first, but I try not to be.
8. I run almost every day.
9. My favorite sports are hockey and basketball.
10. Green tea is my go-to drink.
11. I figure skate, I actually joined MSU's figure skating team this past fall. 
12. In the summer I work at a marina on Drummond Island.
13. But this summer I am going to Spain to work at a summer camp.
14. I love country music, but I like to have a mix of all genres. 
15. I am a terrible liar.
16. I am a very ambitious person.
17. I read USA today just about every day.
18. My dream is to start my own business some day, possibly a gym/yoga studio.
19. I love chocolate, chocolate anything.
20. I take school very seriously, it is my top priority.
21. Then again I have a bad habit of procrastinating.
22. I shop way too much.
23. I can be a bit of a clean freak.
24. When I was younger I went surfing in Hawaii.
25. I am a very good listener.

Well there you have it, this is a quick overview of who I am.  My main goal is to become a teacher and help students to develop to their full potential, I also would love to become fluent in Spanish and eventually travel all around the world, possibly helping children in other countries as well as here in the United States.  I could talk on and on about different opportunities I hope to have the privilege to experience in my field, but I will save that for the actual blog.  Thanks for reading!
